Abstract:

In this paper an coupled Burgers' equation is considered and then a method entitled interval finite-difference method is introduced to find the approximate interval solution of interval model in level wise cases. Finally for more illustration, the convergence theorem is confirmed and a numerical example is solved.

A fully implicit Finite-difference solution to one dimensional Coupled Nonlinear Burgers’ equations

A fully implicit finite-difference method has been proposed for the numerical solutions of one dimensional coupled nonlinear Burgers’ equations on the uniform mesh points. The method forms a system of nonlinear difference equations which is to be solved at each iteration. Newton’s iterative method has been implemented to solve this nonlinear assembled system of equations. The linear system has ...

Solving a system of 2D Burgers' equations using Semi-Lagrangian finite difference schemes

In this paper, we aim to generalize semi-Lagrangian finite difference schemes for a system of two-dimensional (2D) Burgers' equations. Our scheme is not limited by the Courant-Friedrichs-Lewy (CFL) condition and therefore we can apply larger step size for the time variable. Proposed schemes can be implemented in parallel very well and in fact, it is a local one-dimensional (LOD) scheme which o...

A finite difference method for the smooth solution of linear Volterra integral equations

The present paper proposes a fast numerical method for the linear Volterra integral equations withregular and weakly singular kernels having smooth solutions. This method is based on the approx-imation of the kernel, to simplify the integral operator and then discretization of the simpliedoperator using a forward dierence formula. To analyze and verify the accuracy of the method, weexamine samp...

Non-polynomial Spline Method for Solving Coupled Burgers Equations

In this paper, non-polynomial spline method for solving Coupled Burgers Equations are presented. We take a new spline function. The stability analysis using Von-Neumann technique shows the scheme is unconditionally stable. To test accuracy the error norms 2L, L are computed and give two examples to illustrate the sufficiency of the method for solving such nonlinear partial differential equation...
